I was born and grew up in the most Northern part of Germany on the beautiful island of Sylt. When I was 17, I left home to be an exchange student in the US in the state of Oregon. Here, I got to know both the “American Way of Life” and the ministry of Young Life. Since then, it has been my dream to contribute to establish Young Life in Germany and Europe. Upon my return from the US, I finished high school and, after a one year internship in Hamburg with the Salvation Army, moved to Berlin to study international business administration and, next to that, help start Young Life there.
In 2015, I finished my master in international business administration at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Afterwards, I started working with Young Life on a full-time basis as an operations manager for Germany and the DACH region. Our regional office office is located in Kandern in the border region Germany / Switzerland / France between the cities of Freiburg and Basel. This region, more specific the city of Lörrach, is where I moved to from Berlin after my graduation from university.
